Adoptive Parent Education
ADOPTIVE PARENT EDUCATIONAGCI requires that all adoptive parent(s) complete the on-line training courses provided by Adoption Education, LLC. These training programs cover the topics required by Hague. Additionally, AGCI requires adoptive parents to complete the With Eyes Wide Open workbook and CD. All required trainings must be completed prior to home study review and approval by AGCI. Required Training:Adoption Education, LLC. (all certificates must be received prior to home study review) These courses can be found at http://www.adopteducation.com at a cost of $100 per family, per adoption. With Eyes Wide Open Workbook and CD (workbooks must be received prior to home study review) AGCI will send families their With Eyes Wide Open workbook and CD with the Adoption Planner. The training will be billed to families at a cost of $25.00. Families should send their completed workbooks to Family Education Coordinator, Emily House. Home Study Review:Remember, AGCI will be unable to review your home study until all Adoption Education LLC certificates and the With Eyes Wide Open workbook have been received by the Family Education Coordinator. The Family Education Coordinator will provide home study feedback to your social worker within 5 - 7 business days. Subsequent reviews may be required. Once all changes are made, the home study will be approved by AGCI. |
