What Is Special Needs?

We heard an interesting comment the other day from a family at an adoption fair.  When asked if they would consider adopting a special needs child, they said “no, that’s something our family is not equipped to handle.” But when asked if they could adopt a child with a correctable cleft lip and palate, they replied “absolutely, that’s not a special need!” (more…)

Ghana Update

Kate McDodson and I have had a great time here in Ghana!

Although it has been a little hard to go from the land of the most delicious coffee ever(Ethiopia) to the land of Nescafe and instant coffee (here in Ghana) we are still doing great.

Happy, our Ghana Director is a wonderful, loving and vision minded woman. As we walked through our new Promise of Life it was very evident that she loves to come alongside women who are struggling and support them in how to be a mother. She is so gifted at guiding them towards making good decisions for the sake of their children. (more…)
