At the center of each community where we work is an orphan care home or foster care home that is providing quality care for orphans. When possible, AGCI’s heartfelt commitment to serve the orphan is extended through our Hannah’s Hope Orphan Care Homes. Many children adopted by our families have been cared for in one of our Hannah’s Hope Homes, Partner Homes, or Grantee Homes.
Hannah’s Hope Orphan Homes
Our mission at each Hannah’s Hope Home is to provide children with a safe and loving environment while they wait to be united with their forever families.
Our first Hannah’s Hope Home was created in Romania in 1998. Within two years, we built an additional home in Romania, five more in Bulgaria and another in Guatemala City. We opened Hannah’s Hope Ethiopia in 2007 and Hannah’s Hope Taiwan in 2010. Teams of dedicated volunteers have transformed dirty, barren rooms into warm, engaging homes for children around the world. Each of our Hannah’s Hope Homes is founded on a holistic care philosophy, recognizing that a child’s development goes beyond just meeting basic needs. Children living at Hannah’s Hope not only receive the very best shelter, medical care, education, Christian values, food, and clothing, but also are surrounded by love and affection, bright colors, and engaging sounds. Our “special mothers” work tirelessly, nurturing and caring for all these little ones. We are blessed with a wonderful staff that really loves the children.

Partner and Grantee Orphan Homes
AGCI’s care for orphans extends across the globe through a network of Hannah’s Hope Partner and Grantee Homes. Through this collaborative approach AGCI “upholds the cause of the poor and the oppressed” by raising awareness and support for orphanages and foster care homes in order to help provide the shelter, care, and love that every child deserves.
AGCI has always had a heart for helping orphans learn to play, and thereby learn to live. Many orphans around the world have never learned to play with toys, kick a ball, draw or paint, or play a musical instrument. By introducing toys, sports, and creative expression into the lives of children AGCI helps them to develop intellectually and emotionally. Play also helps develop a child’s social skills and individual personality.
AGCI creates art and music centers, playgrounds and playrooms, and equips orphanages with toys and creative materials. We also provide care staff training to facilitate the creative expression, sports, and play, that helps children and youth to be engaged in constructive, meaningful activities.
