Our journey to Nepal began originally when we started our adoption process in the Russia program. Within a short time, we were faced with the possibility of Russia not being open to any new adoptions. AGCI was very honest with my family and let us know what our options would be if we would be willing to continue the overall process. After much prayer and a ton of calls, we decided to look into other countries. It was not long after this that we changed our dossier to Nepal. The Nepal adoption process was very exciting. Many times things moved so quickly we could hardly believe that it was really happening to us and other times we had to wait patiently as days turned into weeks.

We are still sharing our exciting stories about Nepal with families we meet along the way. Our daughter, Emilie is a very curious toddler who loves her family very much. She adores her big brother, and hangs on his every word and action. Every morning they run and greet each other with hugs, as though it has been days without playing instead of just a few hours of sleep. And at night, as our family has prayer, big brother Joseph thanks God for his new sister that came from Nepal and we as a family are thankful for those first steps that brought us the joy of welcoming a child into our family.
