Waiting ChildrenOpen a door of hopeShe was found on a bridge by an orphanage worker in August 2001. The worker reported it to the police and she was brought to the orphanage. It was determined that she was deaf and mute. Based on her development at admission her birth date was determined to be in August 1997. At the time she entered the orphanage she was 3 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 35 pounds. She was kept under observation for 40 days and after it was determined she was free from infectious diseases she went to live with the other children. At her last exam in August 2007 she was 4 feet and 2 inches tall and weighed 57 pounds. She is described as introverted. She likes to be with friends and be outdoors at the park or amusement park. She also likes to go for walks and swim. They identify her as intellectually slow due to her deafness. She can follow directions given by a gesture. She is currently in the school for the deaf and mute and is learning pronunciation and can read some characters such as ma and mei.
