Waiting ChildrenOpen a door of hopeHe was found at an office in June 1998. He was placed in foster home on that same day after no one claimed him. Between July 1999 and January 2000 he was placed in the orphanage due to a change in orphanage management. He was later returned to the foster family where he still lives today. He was diagnosed with congenital cleft lip and palate. He had surgery to suture his cleft lip and palate and in July 2005 he had an operation of palate fistula. Other than the repaired cleft he is physically and developmentally normal for his age. At his most recent check-up in April 2007 he was 4 feet 1 inch tall and weighed 59.5 pounds. He is currently enrolled in the local school. The teachers and classmates like him very much. He covers his mouth when he speaks in class due to his abnormal mouth. He gets good grades and finishes his homework on time. He has made many good friends at school and reaches school early every day to help other classmates with the cleaning. He likes to listen to music, sing and dance. He is described as active restless and a little obstinate. He likes the dogs in his foster home. He is brave and did really well when he had his palate surgery. He helps his "grandma and grandpa" at home with simple housework and looking after the other kids. They describe very sensible and often does not spend his 2 Yuan for lunch and will give it back to grandpa when he gets home.
