A Safe Haven For Gudu
The AGCI & Tim Tebow Foundation House of Hope for Boys in Ethiopia is honored to welcome 14-year-old Gudu* into the home.
Immediately upon entering our care, the entire House of Hope family, from caregivers and children, gathered around Gudu with warm smiles, games, and gifts.
These heartfelt acts of hospitality served as small ways to remind Gudu,
"You are safe. You are seen. You belong."
And since those first interactions, the team has continued to surround him with love and kindness, always reassuring him of his preciousness as a child of God.
We praise God for bringing Gudu into our care, knowing that his entrance into the home marks the end of his time in an exploitative, abusive situation as well as the beginning of his healing journey.
Because of your relentless support to stand up for children who need family, Gudu can now laugh, learn, and rest without fear. And he can receive the holistic, trauma-informed services he needs to heal and grow while we work to find and reunify him with his loving family.
Gudu has now been reunited with family!
